What can you do wrong in the Share function?

Export your HD edit to Quicktime with current settings.
Then use compressor Frame controls ( resize filter to BEST ) to downscale to SD.
Your current workflow is indeed not advisable. -

Are you monitoring a 10 BIT HDSDI signal from your FCP with a Decklink or AJA card?
If you not, it’s clearly not a Pro environment. -
FCP is gonna work fine. It will even do HD output with no problems from FCP.
Motion tends to get a little slower when outputting to a blackmagic or Aja card.
Just to a ram preview in that case. -

we tried manual and dhcp IP.
It doesn’t create a local database. It’s keeps saying there’s an error.There are running 2 IP adresses on this machine because of Xsan.

When i don’t create a database, and hit cancel. Choose new project. DaVinci instantly quits.

As far i know , the decklink outputs YUV. All decklinks do.
You need the HDP2 for example to get an RGB signal into the HP.check the HP/AJA whitepaper

they are scared of something they don’t know.tell them:
OSX has SAMBA support
Connects to any SAMBA server.
Windows Filesharing on OSX is easy.Also tell them. Shut up, you don’t know shit about Pro Video editing.
I wanna edit RED, P2, XDCAM, DV, sdi in, sdi out, without any troubles.
So i’m gonna use FCP. -
With an external firewire drive you can ONLINE all XDCAM formats on FCP with a macbook pro 13″ with 4GB ram easily..
