I work for an Adobe/Apple System Integrator and we’ve got lots of client having these RED FRAME issues on Premiere CC 8.2.

    Thank you!

I know. They are all on a Thunderbolt Pegasus that goes 600 MB/s
Still i have to wait too long before i can start editing.

Importing the same batch in FCP 7 ( 32 bit old stuff ) i can start editing in 10 sec.

We are talking ProRes files 48000 KHZ 16 bit audio , which is an Uncompressed Format that is used widely.

But Premiere needs to conform even 16 bit uncompressed files to 32 bit?

It really is one big joke.

So when i import days of footage. Long hour takes. i have to wait a day before i can start cutting?

On a new generation Quad Core i7 Computer with fast storage?

When i import the same footage in FCP7. I can start cutting in a minute.
That old 32 bit software from the past can handle this, but 64 bit Premiere needs conforming?

    It’s ridiculous.

    How can anyone defend this?

The updates are fine and working here.

You shouldn’t put the apps in a seperate folder before updating.

Install, update, than put in folder.

First you need to update them , before you put them in a seperate folder.

Install FCS3 , then go to appstore/software update ( ITS THE SAME on 10.8 )

Then create a folder to put them in , so you can install FCPX.

When musicians received 50 cents of a 20 dollar cd.

    Now that was theft!!

And now those big record labels are not needed anymore and they will sue a family for 100k because the son of the family downloaded an illegal copy of his favorite artist.

He did go to the concert by the way…
