Red Frames are back on export
Posted by Michael Sacci on February 20, 2015 at 9:14 pmI’m working with XDCAM MXF footage and exporting it as XDCAM HD422 60i and I’m getting red frames all through the exported file. Simple cuts and b-roll. On one file it was about every 30 secs or so, a single red frame.
It is on a Mac Pro, 64 GB of Ram, OS 10.9.2
PrPro 8.2.0 (65) tried with Open CL on and off.Seems like this started over the weeking but exporting to H264 files.
Anyone else seeing this again.

February 21, 2015 at 12:04 pmMichael,
I would be interested in understanding the conditions where you get this. If you want to friend me on Cow, I can give you my email address where we can get this logged into our system.
One question, is there any reason you’re on 10.9.2 specifically and not 10.9.5?

February 21, 2015 at 2:49 pmI can update the OS when I go in on Monday if you that is an issue.
The project was simple. Cut down a long video add some B-roll and cut in some commentary. The footage was xdcam 1440×1080 29i as was the sequence. B-Roll and commentary was 1920×1080 29i. Exported as XDCAM HD50 NTSC 60i.
We started seeing the red frames on export this past weekend. It would be XDCAM HD50 material and exporting to H264 for web versions.
There are no effects or filters added, just simple cuts.
