Check if you have sync image when monitoring audio from decklink with component out from Decklink.
Lots of HDMI TV’s give latency on HDMI.

But still Fcp is terrible at downscaling.
Export a quicktime with current settings from the EX timeline
Then import in compressor and create a SD ProRes with frame controls on . Resize filter set to best.

Edit HD
Video playback in FCP -> HD
in AJA control panel
Primary HD
Secondary SD.
This way you get the hardware downscaling from the AJA on your Component or SDI output.

Try using the easy setup.

Choose BlackMagic PAL ProRes HQ in the easy setup.
Hit Setup.
New Project
Log and capture.

Before this check your INPUT settings in the Decklink control panel. Should be set Component input.
You can find this in your System Preferences.

P60 is only nice when you play back 60 frames.
For the web you end up loosing half of you frames anyway.
So identical on vimeo is impossible in terms if smooth 60p movement.
Have you tried creating a h264 in compressor?

To answer your questions.

Genarts Sapphire are the only 3th party plugins used in the project.
Are these the ones you we’re thinking about?

The crashing during playback happens every 10 minutes during editing, when using playback to the Decklink output
The crashing doesn’t happen when we have external video set to OFF, but then we won’t have output.
It’s a strange thing.

When we Render ( including the Sapphire plugins) Out of memory errors happens all the time.
(With External Video ON)

When we Render with External Video OFF, it renders without problems.
It’s really a weird thing that the Decklink output causes this behaviour.

The Decklink cards are in the Top Slot.
The Sequence setting is ProRes HQ 1920×1080 @ 25 fps Upper field
The source files are different codecs, but they all have been converted to ProRes HQ 1920×1080 before import.
There is 25p and 50i material. There is no 24, or 29,97 footage.
Playback settings are on Blackmagic HD 1080i50 8 bit.
