    Hi Josua,

Are you guys at Blackmagic aware of this serious issue?
As you see in this thread, more and more people describing this issue.

More and more people have the same problem with Decklink Extreme 3/3D in the latest generation MacPro’s.
The latest drivers don’t seem to fix the problem.
I know you don’t want to hear it but replacing the systems with AJA solves the crashes and misery.

    Indeed. Reimport in new project.

Also. Import media from your system drive.

too rule out the external drive. How is it formatted?

Try to create a new admin user. Login with that.
And see if the problem persists.
This way you know if it’s a system issue or not.

  • DVD is Standard defintion. So you will loose quality anyway.

The main problem is your downscaling.

Copy paste your final edit in a ProRes Standard def timeline.
Edit sequence settings , Render high precision.
    Then export a Quicktime movie.

Then use compressor to create your M2v and Ac3 file.

You need to do a good HD to SD scale, before burning. Or your DVD will look bad.

Copy/Paste edit in a SD ProRes Timeline, video processing 10 bit.
Export, use that in DVD STudio pro or Compressor.

Or use compressor with Frame controls. Both give good SD results.
