  • Final Cut unexpected error, Cant even open it

Posted by Brian Smith on January 3, 2011 at 2:58 am

So I’ve tried repair permissions and clearing my preferences and I still get unexpected error anytime I even try to open Final Cut. I also uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Any suggestions?

Final cut 5 and a MacBook pro?

You might want to install fcs3 and install it properly. I don’t know what you’re trying to do there but it doesn’t seem like you have anything installed properly/legally.

Final Cut Pro does not install anything to the downloads folder. As Jeremy suggests, looks like an improper or illegal install from a download and not from the original DVDs.
