I have a betacam deck going into a decklink extreme 3d via component, i’m trying to capture using deck control through final cut. when i go into the capture window i can change ‘control’ to ‘blackmagic pal 25’ but if i try and change the codec to ‘blackmagic pro res 422hq’ it crashes every time. i did, a couple of times, get past this point, but then it just crashes when i actually try and capture anything.

i’ve tried trashing prefs and repairing permissions, i’ve also left the whole computer unplugged over night.

    any ideas?

    Try using the easy setup.

Choose BlackMagic PAL ProRes HQ in the easy setup.
    Hit Setup.
    New Project
    Log and capture.

Before this check your INPUT settings in the Decklink control panel. Should be set Component input.
You can find this in your System Preferences.

    Hi,

You should also get the crash log from FCP which is available when you open up the Console application, and send that along with a support request to our Support team. They can be contacted here:
