Never mind, it was in the end actions. I put it to hold thinking it would hold at the end and then loop. But I set to loop amd now it does it should. Happy new year!

Thanks with the holidays I forgot about this question. Uhm all of my templates and FX presets survived. But after reading about the registry I’m wondering if I should keep v8 installed along side v9.
So far I’ve had no issues. Any thoughts?

I searched for this topic, but the last response was in March, so I think it safe to post a new thread, yes?
I don’t mean to dredge this post up again, but I am having an issue with rendering out to AC-3 Pro.
I installed both Vegas Pro 8.0c (in 2008 upgrade from Trial) and later DVD Architect Pro 5.0 (summer 2009, also Trial upgrade), but I have since installed Vegas Pro 9.0c (last October, Trial upgrade). I have never used the AC-3 Pro or Studio plugins in Vegas Pro 8.x as I have never used Vegas to make DVDs…until now when my sister asked that I do so for her.
Well, when I selected to rendered out my audio to AC-3 Pro it said the plugin was not unlocked and I should install DVDA Pro 5??? Rendering to AC-3 Studio worked, though. But, I’ve had it since Vegas Pro 8.x. Do I need to re-install it again as a “re-fresh” for the Vegas Pro 9.x installation?
(BTW, I have both Vegas 8.x and 9.0 installed, I just got 9.x and I’m still transitioning from 8.x)
Also, what is the difference between AC-3 Pro and AC-3 Studio plugins?

While I have had Vegas for over a year and rendered a few projects with it, I have never even bothered to find out what that Ripple function was. In fact, just last week while working on my current project (BOOly The Ghost) I was thinking to myself that I really should just sit down and learn to use every part of this application so I can know what all these toolbar buttons do.
But, when I upload BOOly you’ll see I’ve actually come pretty far with it.
But it’s just funny (and kinda sad) that I stared at that icon this whole time and never took the few minutes to learn what it did. WOW.

From what I have gleaned from the Movie Studio line is that they were more or less meant for “Families/Hobbiest” and the Pro versions for the “big Boys”. You can get the Trial of Vegas Pro 8/9 as well.

I uninstalled the Trial and decided to stick with Pro 8 for now. Anyway, I actually thought it may be the file sizes for the MOV sources, since one JumpBack was over 1 GB. So I DID use the QuickTime format for the SD render that went well. I didn’t do any modifications to the files from within Juicer. I just used one JumpBack, a swipe, and logo revealer (https://vimeo.com/6244472) That’s actually 720×480 not 710. So I’ll use the 1280x720p from now on, and test with 1440×1080.

The fastest CPU my Asus A7V8X-LA Kelut motherboard will take is an AMD 3200+, and since it’s Socket A my choices are limited. So I may just get a new motherboard and CPU combo (building PCs from m/b up is fun, I built my old P3 600mhz & 386DX 40Mhz; ahhh good times).

Just found out that rendering the higher resolutions was causing Vegas Pro 8 and possibly 9 as well to crash. When I lowered the res to 720×480 in a WMV format, it rendered out fine. Albeit in that stupid WMV format. ON YouTube is at HQ – Vimeo is at non-HD. SO I’ll try at 1280×720 and see what happens. Then I’ll try 1440×1080. I know I can’t render at 1920×1080. Oh well. At least 1280×720 is HD on Vimeo and YouTube.
