Ya, well that was their terminology. Needless to say they were wrong, and the issue was on their end. Thks for the response.

FINALLY A VOICE OF REASON……YOU HIT IT ON THE HEAD….THIS IS A STROKE JOB AND THIS FORUM EATS THAT STUFF UP……YEAH…..WE USE AVID, IT IS THE BEST, WE ARE SMARTER……blah blah blah…….I use both regularly, they both have pluses and minuses, are we not editors here? Do you guys own stock in Avid or something??? I have learned not to be a slave to ANY editing platform and worry about knowing ALL the tools, and getting better at my CRAFT is my only motive…….I can write you a HUGE list of things that are lame about both Avid and FCP……a HUGE list, and anyone that uses both (really uses them in a professional enviroment, and is honest, knows the same thing…..these are computer programs you guys…..period…..learn your craft…..rant over…..

April 21, 2008 at 11:46 pm in reply to: AFTER NAB thoughts regarding Final Cut

Dare I say they would never do that because people that use these products to make a living on would demand answers and Apple would be held accountable for a real pathway, instead of the norm now, where they add all these great bells and whistles and dont take care of simple things that everyone has been stammering for for years now…very Avid like in that you just add on top of old things and never really fix the foundation with which its been built upon, and we all know how that turns out for most things in life…..

I did try to install an older version before I bought the upgrade, maybe that is it….it didnt install due to not being compatible with Leopard so i bought the upgrade. Is there a way to uninstall whatever legacy files it might have left on my system so that I can install from this new disc?

    Thks for you help.

Ya thats what I figured…..Ive been hired for the past 2 years on jobs that pay for the systems, which is the norm for feature films…..but I am ready to upgrade everything for HD online.

Kona 3 is a no brainer for me……no anyone selling one? 😉

Also I noticed your using Max Digital, good results? I have always like Huge, now Ciprico…but the Max Digitals Ive been hearing about…..thoughts?

    Thks.
