Give us more info about your G5. Your profile reflects a Windows PC. You should not have a problem with a normally configured G5. What drive are you capturing to and in what format? Do your capture and sequence settings match?

There is a dedicated software to do just this kind of thing. I saw it at the Apple store today. Can’t remember the name exactly, something like “Cartoon”.

Thanks Harry. There are two entries on the left for each drive. I was choosing the bottom one. When I chose the top one the partition tab magically appeared. Thought I had tried every combination possible but apparently I did not.

Sorry, that should be 10.4.2 It’s the same thing on my original install disc

Mike, my Sony DSR-25 deck makes more noise than my G5.
