I don’t remember ever having a call for this before, but I can’t get a DV tape to copy to any of my VHS machines. They are consumer VTRs. Is it because they’re not E-E? I am able to get to those machines from an FCP timeline, but I don’t have time to digitize 3 hours of footage, or the budget. I tried going out of my DSR11 via RCA, same with my JVC DV deck and even my Panasonic DVX100. Nothin.

Thank god all my other clients go with DVD’s.

    Have a wonderful day.

I’ve done this by using the monitor out from my DVCAM DRS-45 deck. Then I just turn off the display. Works well enough for a VHS copy.

Have you checked the input selection on the vhs vcr?

If you take the Video and Audio Outs of the dsr 11 and connect them to the Video and Audio Ins of the VHS deck
    and hit play & record.
    I can’t see why this wouldn’t work?
Maybe you are just not Monitoring whats going Down, if you don’t have the VHS out to Monitor.
