    The only tabs showing are First Aid, Erase, RAID and Restore.OSX 10.4.3.I would like to partition an ext firewire drive TIA

    Sorry, that should be 10.4.2 It’s the same thing on my original install disc

    Sounds like you have selected the already formatted drive… ie one that you named (Media Drive A, My music hd) already. Try clickin on actual drive icon in the app – it will have a name like Maxtor 233.8 GB 7yb8o5 – or (Seagate, or whomever made it).

    Thanks Harry. There are two entries on the left for each drive. I was choosing the bottom one. When I chose the top one the partition tab magically appeared. Thought I had tried every combination possible but apparently I did not.
