Not sre I understand all of your problem but I will try:
1) If you have FCP 7 you can now apply a transition to all your clips in one operation. Just select an In and an Out to define the range and add the default transition of your choice. (selecting all clps also works)
2) If what you are trying to do is systematically remove frames at top and bottom of each edited clip because each clip is made of all the captured material, then I am afraid there is no other solution that to trim each transition (this is after all an editing software).

But if you recorded same timecode to all 3 cams, and provided they are all same codec, you could have gone straight to sequence multiclip… or am I missing something?

Hi,
2GB is the maximum size for OMF.
You need to split your export into 2 or more. For example you can select tracks 1 to 4 and make one export, then select 5 to 8 for another export.
How you will split depends on how much stuff is on tracks. Selection is done by turning track visibility off for the unwanted tracks in your export. (Not the Mute button!)

you should find many answers,
it seems to be the effect of the day/month/year(yawn, reminds me of the cube we had to build with single channel dve’s way back when… was “cool” for a week, then everybody wanted it… except it took more hard work than merely dropping an icon in a timeline and hit alt-R he he)

Trash your prefs and restart.
if you really trashed them they should be gone from your list.

Hi,
this also happens if, for example, you have a long project and want to display waveforms for the first time. The x’s will be replaced by the waveforms as they are calculated for display, which is not instantaneous.

you are not specifying which version of FCP you run but I will assume it is 7, in which case the speed tool does snap to markers (as long as snapping is on of course (N))
Speed tool is much easier to use than time remap graph…

…as for your second question, do a search in the timeline with the word fade in it and all your cross fades will be highlighted (selected); then hit backspace to delete them.

F will match frame in the viewer and Shift – F will reveal the clip in the Browser, but you could have found that from either summoning FCP’s help menu or reading the manual.
And by the way, a question as simple as this one belongs in the Basics Forum.
