  • applying a Blade cut to multiple markers on a audio track

On my audio track, I use the “M” for marker to set dozens of mark points. All of these mark points are really in/out point where I want to make razor blade cuts. After I’ve finished marking all the spots I want to cut, is there a way to make a razor blade cut along ‘All” of the marker spots along the audio track rather than clicking each individual marker with the blade?

Lets say I set dozens of cross fades on the front and back of audio clips. I’m past the point of hitting undo, is there a way to delete all of those cross fades in 1 move ?

    thanks
    tired hands.

As you play your timeline hit Control V (add Edit).

No and no again. If you’re getting paid by the hour you’re in luck.

The Control-V works ! Is there a way to do this in the Viewer window ? I’m cutting around dead spots in the audio track and prefer the viewer window as it show me the wave form in a much clearer way than the timeline.

    Hi David

I’m pretty sure if you just send the audio track to SountrackPro you can place marks and blade out clips easily with an excellent view of the waveforms.

…as for your second question, do a search in the timeline with the word fade in it and all your cross fades will be highlighted (selected); then hit backspace to delete them.

I surely thought you were asking for a tool to cut at all markers along the entire timeline.

I am. I scrub through an audio track in the Viewer and “M” mark all of the spots I want to make cuts. After marking all the spots, I then use the razor blade in the timeline to go one by one, mark by mark and and a cut. This is time consuming and repetitive to say the least. This is something I do quite often on projects and was frustrated enough to try and spend some time looking for a shortcut to this process.

Let me just add, I understand that I have to manually ‘Mark’ all of the spots. That’s cool. What I’d like to avoid is having to razor blade cut along each line . I’d like to cut “once” if possible.
