  • time remap keyframes to fit (audio) markers?

Posted by Ben Bogart on October 24, 2010 at 2:04 pm

    Hello,

Is there an easy way to time remap video so that certain keyframes hit with certain audio events or markers. I’d like to leave the audio the way it is but have specific frames show with accents in the music, speeding up or slowing down the video in between.

I’ve been trying to use the speed curve in the motion window to do this but its nearly impossible to line things up, unless I’m missing something.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

you are not specifying which version of FCP you run but I will assume it is 7, in which case the speed tool does snap to markers (as long as snapping is on of course (N))

Speed tool is much easier to use than time remap graph…

    hope this helps

I’m pretty sure you can do that in After Effects. Not in FCP , I am afraid.
