Time to find a table thick enough, cut a hole and make the Wave slip into it to make an impression on clients when they stop by….

Simply put – the form factor. The Wave is ridiculous in size vs. features, and not least compared to the Euphonix panel.

The Wave looks like an ugly duck in comparison. It can do the job..

I had the pleasure of test driving a MC Color in April, and I totally fell in love. We all want the Resolve panel, no doubt in that, but you gotta be on par with the wallet too.. 🙂 They’re about the same price, but the MC Color felt just so great.

Take a look at the MC Color, and check its height from the table.

And now check the Wave.. I really, really don’t like the size or this.. “big brick” look of it. It’s like a big mothership in outer space.

But then again, who knows when support for the Euphonix panel comes.. I might put the love to MC Color aside and just get the job done with the tools available.

I’m a switcher myself. Judging by screenshots of the DaVinci interface, I’ll leave the the Wacom behind and get a supported control panel asap. Preferably the Euphonix MC Color, whenever it’s supported. I don’t care much for the Tangent Wave….

Hmm well, I tried that. In the grading application it will play all 50fps even though the timeline is 25fps, so the video looks slow motion.
