I’m grading a video for a client. Footage is 720p@50fps. I need to export using EDL to bring it further down the chain, but as far as I know, EDL won’t work with 50fps. So I guess I need to make this 25fps..

I tried using Media Manager, but found no solution. I select “recompress” and Prores 422 HQ 25fps, but I’m getting an error message that the setting won’t apply to the fps of the clips being recompressed.

    I’m a bit stuck here!

    Hi Ola,
Just drop the clips in a 25p sequence and export.
One every two frames will be dropped.
If you have a lot of stuff, you can batch export with Mpgstreamclip.

Hmm well, I tried that. In the grading application it will play all 50fps even though the timeline is 25fps, so the video looks slow motion.

    Hi Ola,
You should be getting a 25p file with the same length than the original.
I don’t know what you are doing wrong.
