For youtube I should use:

Project property: Template HDV720-25p
Render as MP4 – 1280×720 – 5mbs

You should set project property to match output. If that is DVD, use one of the DVtemplates.
If not, you will have black bars, and got to use pan/crop to repair.

Save project.

If you want to render for Blu-ray, then open project, and set project property to 1440×1080.
Then render as – blue-ray.

8-bits may give as good final result, and a lot faster rendering.

There is a turtorial on hv20.com that prefferes “best & 8 bits”. While other will say “good & 32 bits”.
