May 2, 2009 at 4:24 pmSteve, any idea how this new deshaker compares to what Mercalli does? I have Mercalli pro, and love it for those times the hand is shakier than the eye. The only flaw is that it slightly reduces sharpness and I have to add some artificially.

May 2, 2009 at 6:27 pmProdad Mercalli has tons more features and functionality,
but as that Deshaker is free, it would come in very handy
for those who have a tight budget. As with all stabilization software you will experience some
sharpness loss…the only one i see that keeps this to a
minimum yet does an excellent job is 2D3 SteadyMove Pro.Steve Rhoden

May 3, 2009 at 6:38 amWhat version of vegas are you using?…
and here is the instructions given on the site :
Vegas New Deshaker may be installed as either a Vegas Script
or Vegas extension. The self-extracting archive defaults to
installing as a script in the folder C:Program FilesSony
Vegas Pro 8.0Script Menu but that may be overridden to place
it in your My Documents Vegas Application Extensions or
My Documents Vegas Script Menu folder for example.Steve Rhoden
