export an XML and have a look at it.

it;s a big list of EVERYTHING in your project.
or sequence,
or bin,
or whatever you choose to include in the XML

much more info than an EDL.

but no media.

there are differnt versions of XML available in the export window,
so if you are unsure about which one to make for your flame session,
ask the operator,
or make a few.

i think it’s a really interesting app, and i cant wait for it to be available, although i don’t personally need it.

do you sell many copies of FCP Attic given that you can get FCP Rescue for free? (i know Attic has a bit more functionality)
personally, $10 would be a sweeter price point for Attic.

i would have said $20 for MUP, but again, as a single user, i don’t have a huge need for it.

it could be that your biggest market is going to be houses switching from Avid to FCP.
Digital Heaven’s “Big Time” is probably also favoured by them, and seems to sell at $50,
so i’d say $50 would be your upper limit.
with a group license discount on top of that

a 30 day free trial would be a good way to get people hooked on using it.

what’s actually happening?

i had problems getting double system multiclips to behave back in 5.1 (might have been 5.0.something)

problem was that when the audio was longer than the video, the overhang would push the clips out of sync with each other in the multi.

solution was to Subclip the linked video / audio clips. this would “trim” the audio to same duration as video, and multis would behave.

a similar but less risky approach exists…

in FCP, you can COPY the new logo,
and paste Attributes: CONTENT into the old clip.

still, if your reconnect method worked, you could do all instance in one go.

make a backup of the project/s with the OLD logo before you try the reconnect.

look at the vignetter filter i pointed you to.

otherwise you can use the Shapes Generator as an overlay,
but you have to change the comp mode to multiply (or screen – i can never remember!)

that slows it’s RT performance down somewhat,
but an overlay is pretty easy to deal with.

the simple Apple T always applies the default transition.
after than you have to change duration manually,
and there are shortcuts for change alignment, but you have to select the transition.

however you can create your own shortcuts.

set up a bunch of favorite transitions with durations and alignments of your own making.

drag them into the favorites bin in the effects tab of the browser,
number and name them.
then in your keyboard layout, set up commands for “Transition Favorite” 1-x

oh, backup your favorites in a “favorites” project as they’ll disappear if you trash your prefs, and backup your keyboard layout while you’re at it.
