Is it possible to downsave an fcp file to 4.5?
I worked on a project on one computer that had (I believe) FCP 6, but now I am on a computer that is has 4.5 HD. I need to be able to open this project, but I am not able to, presumably because the version is too old. Is there any way I can downsave it to this legacy version? Could anyone help if I you the file?

you’ve got to open the project in FCP6 (or whatever)
then save an XML.read this:
