January 15, 2007 at 8:16 pm in reply to: Problem Freeze Frames with Alphas

    Jeremy

Freeze is created in FCP with ‘Make Freeze frame’

The alpha is set to straight.

I can make the freeze in AE
but I do a fair amount of these graphic items and they need a 10sec hold and
rendering out takes a fair while longer in AE.

    Thanks

July 11, 2006 at 5:54 pm in reply to: Why do I need to re-render using Edit to Tape?

    Thanks again…

All clips are enabled. All settings in RT are correctly set.

Deleted render files in Render Manager and re-rendered. Still renders on ETT

Walter, Render setting are all ticked in both selection and render all

I can usually work through most problems on FCP but this has got me stumped big time.

Thanks for the ideas guys but….

Telly, Sequence has definitely been rendered at Full
    Running on FCP 5.0.4
    Prefs have been trashed.
Edit to tape in editing mode, no B&T etc
Going via Decklink SDI to Sony DVW A500P
All Video/audio/output/edit to tape settings are correctly set.
Been through them enough time to make my brain hurt!

What get’s me is that the problem exists on some sequences
and not others even though they were all created in exactly the same way.

Unfortunately not sure what he had plugged up at the
time of upgrade. Are you talking fresh install of Tiger or FCP HD?

    Thanks for the help

At Last, success!! After ridiculous amount of messing around and with little
help from Behringer got my BCF2000 up and running. Must concur with Lu.
Operation seems Ok. Little bit of ‘fighting’ but seems to work reasonably

    Deadhead

Thanks for the info. I might very well come to the same conclusions myself
    and return the unit.

Did your BCF2000 work in FCP5 immediately after putting the unit into Mackie control or did you have to jump through a few hoops to get it up and running?

    Any help appreciated!!!

    except…..

having used ‘Save as’ to save the project file in the shared folder
FCP now opens only 9% before going into beachball mode!
    corrupt project file perhaps??
