That’s not true…
You can create a duplicate of your sequence, make offline clips and capture these clips which have only media used in the sequence plus handles you specify. And you can retain your original sequence linked to the original full media.

Its all explained on page 1452 of the user guide and I’ve had occasion to use this many times. Of course this procedure is only as accurate as the original capture was. People who name (or allow names to be) tape names like “001”, or do “Capture now” and don’t name clips before capture, resulting in scores of “Untitled, Unditled01” etc, would have some trouble making this work.

Black Burst or Try-Sync input

So, like the HDPlus and HDPro cards, these systems too “try” to sync, or do they actually?
Shoulda posted this separately, but my HDPlus and HDPro are still off house sync. The “blink with sync” issue continues.

Sorry to be a dampener but I hope they first set some old things right in addition to any new things they’re planning. Like …
1. Give Multibridge customers a Multibridge that works. I have two in my cupboard that don’t with no sign of when I’m getting new ones.
2. Fix the ref sync issue in HD Plus and HDPro cards for users in a facility with house sync and video routers. Where HDPlus and HDPro are currently are unusable or useble without ref.
3. Include HDPlus in connection diagrams at their web site, and in manuals.
4. Deliver cards with the latest connection diagrams and manuals. My HDPlus (3) and HDPro were delivered without connection diagrams in Dec 04. And the web site still doesn’t have a connection diagram.
