This doesn’t seem to be the problem.
I’m importing a MOV exported from After Effects. The audio output is set to Stereo.
I import into FCP. Everything is linked. The video and the audio for both tracks 1 and 2. However, the arrows that Michael mentions aren’t there. Instead, it’s recognizing the audio as two linked mono tracks, not stereo.

OK, I did the following (with FCP quit), and a Panasonic AJ-SD93 DVCPro deck connected:
1. AJA Control Panel, Control Tab > Test Pattern.
Result: A green, noise pattern appears on the monitor.2. Any other option except input passthrough (such as black).
Result: Same thing, green noise pattern OR a black & white noise pattern.3. Input Passthrough
Result: Success! I can see the video coming out of the deck, into the AJA breakout box, then back out to the monitor.4. Attempt to capture via AJA VTR Xchange.
Result: At first, everything seemed fine. It could see the deck, play video (though it did not appear in the preview window). I started to capture and it seemed to work, until the end of the clip. It then gave me the following error:“Trouble Ending Record Operation. Error -2014”
From all of this, I would guess that the card’s In and Outs work fine. The issue seems to be in the card’s ability to create an image/video. Does this seem right?
Any suggestions as to how to remedy this?

Yep, the CUDA drivers weren’t installed. Now I can choose to use the Mercury.

Are you using a 64-bit OS?

You’re maxed out at 50. The stroke effect in layer styles won’t allow you to animate or reveal the image below, I believe.
So one workaround would be to create a second mask. Duplicate your mask, and then scale it up.
For the Stroke Effect, make sure “All Masks” is checked. And if you are animating the stroke, make sure that “Stroke Sequentially” is checked off.
You’ll have to adjust the second mask so that there is no space between the stroke of the first mask and second one. It’ll take a little work (not too much), but you will be able to have a stroke that’s more than 50px.

As Kevin said, if you’re referring to the rendered files, they should open fine with the AJA 8 drivers — so if they don’t, contact AJA support. They support services are excellent.
