Change the reference mode on the object node to “Use Start Position”. The default “This Object” will do just what you want.

Distortions are more or less inevitable because of the projection on spherical objects. You can only compensate for that by counter-distorting your textures in Photoshop or whatever program using e.g. the Bulge filter.

  • Change your settings to what you want them to be, then in the attribute manager select Edit –> Set as Default.

Yeah, just like yikesmikes said, lock the other layers. I believe on nabscripts.com you can find a script that can help you make that easier and provide some sort of selection set functionality.

Maybe it somehow switched some setting in your audio preferences or the general configuration. Lagging/ delay usually only occurs when there is a discreapncy between device settings and the software.

You can’t extrude pixels, so first off you need some clean vector-based artwork and that means tracing your image (or getting an alternate vector based version) in what ever program of your choice. After that a whole new world of options opens up like animating everything inside AE via Zaxwerks Invigorator or externall using “real” 3D programs.

You cannot access the information used internally by 3DStroke. You have to manually match your camera.

For goodness sake – get rid of the music. There’s nothing against Linkin Park, but unless you intend to cut your real to the music, such a rhythmic and percussion driven piece is going to ruin everything. Peopel forever wonder if they miss something. Choose a soft, much more melodic piece for this type of reel. Also try to find a way to present the breakdowns more coherently, there’s jsu t too many variotions of styles.

December 2, 2006 at 10:11 am in reply to: light following masking … point light (glow)

If you are using masks, you can simply copy&paste the mask to the position property of another layer or point effect control and adjust the timing. Vector Paint won’t give you that option. A simple Auto Trace on the contours of the Xmas tree to generate masks should not be a problem, so I’d take that route. You can create the glow spark by building it in a pre-comp or using lensflare effects. If you’re short on ideas how to do that, check my lensflare tutorail here at the COW. It contains a few techniques you could use.
