For goodness sake – get rid of the music. There’s nothing against Linkin Park, but unless you intend to cut your real to the music, such a rhythmic and percussion driven piece is going to ruin everything. Peopel forever wonder if they miss something. Choose a soft, much more melodic piece for this type of reel. Also try to find a way to present the breakdowns more coherently, there’s jsu t too many variotions of styles.

    Hi A.Zander,

I see you watched Aharon’s tutorials a few times and didn’t quite changed the settings a lot.

I don’t mean to be rude, but it would be a good thing to change the Fractal Noise thing at the beginning, anyone that has touched AE before and used the Fractal Noise will find this intro pretty ..”simply done”. I mean, just a couple of fractal noises animated in a circle, and the lightning…why a pink lightning? It just makes the contrast of the scene worst, and remember, that’s the first thing your client will see.

But! Overall, the effects were pretty o.k. to me. To be honest, the rotoscoped girl in the stairs quite impressed me. The flames in the glasses too. But that’s about it.

Oh, and what’s with the bouncing house at the beginnning? This is so easy to do, it only takes a little bit of time (to cut the house and a little bit of the BG).

I had nothing against the music; only the countdown at the beginning.

    Good luck with your projects!

    Hey…

Was I the only one to notice “Original” was spelled wrong?

The reel is ok tho, you’ve got a good start on things….

I wouldn’t mind a few opinions on mine either from the AE community, if anyone has the time for a look… any and all feedback is appreciated!

YOu’re off to a good start – I think there are some things you can do to make it stronger – music is a good place to start. I think you might want to try to find a more “out of the box” appraoch to your presentation. Think graphically, then find a way to get it on screen.

You’ve just started – so good job – now get back to work.

    Best,
    Josh

well thak you all, adn yes the music is changing, but im very conflicted ive narrowed it down to a few songs, and that was the original with the house

and a new countdown is a must, i agree.

I’ll mess with they force field ive been meeing to add some bullet bounces to it and some ripples.

thanks for the roto, was a pain, close to 2000 paint layers all frame by frame

well thanks guys will keep working
