The disk manager does say that they are foreign diskx. this is normal. You will need to right click on that area and select “import foreign disks”. This is how the windows operating system works. HTH

Hi. You can export them as targa sequential files and you will need to check on 2 things inside the Avid import settings. 1) you will need to select the option that says “autodetect sequential files” 2) Invert existing alpha. HTH

Hi. First, make a duplicate of this sequence and consolidate it into an external firewire drive. Make sure that you do not delete the original media files from the main drive. Once you are through, the firewire drive will have an exact copy of your final edited sequence. Now open that sequence and export a quicktime reference file and save it on the same firewire drive. Now you are free to move this drive to another system and import this QT reference files (.mov and .aiff) into ProTools. If you want the entire timeline (composition), try exporting your consolidated sequence as AAF. HTH

Hi. Avid understands the use of Alpha in the opposite of how other applications use it. Go to import settings and choose “invert existing”. HTH

Click on the image and select “Ctrl +K”. this will zoom out the image and reveal the black edges. Manually crop them on either sides and then get back to original size by clicking on the image again and typing “Ctrl + L”. IF you apply the “push” now, you will not have any problem.

  • Ctrl + Tab will cycle through the windows. The “Esc” key will toggle between the “Source” and “Record” monitors.

The rest are available under the “Tools” menu. You can also customize your keyboard to use some of these functions.

    Hi Tim,
There is no step to downgrade the OS, you will need to freshly install 10.3.8 on the G4.

A nice plug-in for transitions is the Pixelan – Spice Master. You can customize the appearance of your wipes to suit the needs of your setup. You can create any bitmap file (.bmp) and put them in your spice master library and the transition will have the the look of the bmp file that you created. Its cool. https://www.pixelan.com/sm25/intro.htm
Sapphire rocks. Boris Continuum Complete is built-in.
