In AVID Xpress Pro 4.6, I am trying to create a push effect. One piece of video pushes another piece of video left to right. The problem I am having is that I’m seeing the very edge of the video which is creating a black, fuzzy line between the two pieces of video. Is there an easy way to remove that. I changed the effect aperture to DV 25 but that doesn’t seemed to have helped. Any ideas? Thanks so much.

    Hey Ryan,
You’re probably seeing the the edging of a 720×486 screen depending what your source is. Just put a left & right crop on your effect to get rid of the edge.
    Hope this helps.

Click on the image and select “Ctrl +K”. this will zoom out the image and reveal the black edges. Manually crop them on either sides and then get back to original size by clicking on the image again and typing “Ctrl + L”. IF you apply the “push” now, you will not have any problem.
