Worked on a windows xp adreenalin system. At the end of the day I swapped out my 8 drives in the scsi tower and replaced them with the 8 drives for the morning shift. When I rebooted, the computer didn’t recognize the drives. Disk manager showed them as “dynamic foreign disks” but no volumes. I know the morning guy had buckets of media on 2 striped sets with 2 volumes on each set. He had numbered all the drives and they were put back in the same order. What the heck is going on?

The disk manager does say that they are foreign diskx. this is normal. You will need to right click on that area and select “import foreign disks”. This is how the windows operating system works. HTH
