After upgrading to latest 10.4.2 security update and Quicktime 7.02 we have serious capture problems related to the Kona 2 driver. The input flickers and jumps – but this can be resolved by setting the Kona Output timing to FREERUN. Unfortunately this is not a solid work around. We have reptitive crashes during logging and capturing. The system must be reboot in able to get control over the Kona card again. Any suggestions are welcome…

The toolbar gives you access to square/circular or bezier masks. The masks can be feathered with up to 50 pixels – but it seems to work better with applying a blur to the mask. Check the manual for details…
