Please post a screen shot of your problem layout so that we know what it looks like.

Philippe, you skipped over the very important 1st step and that is “Start by bringing up the Render As Window in Vegas Pro using: File | Render As… and select QuickTime 7 (*.mov) as the Output Format…”
Here are two screen shots from Vegas 7 showing you how and where to find it.

Render to mp4 like oyu always do and then just change the extension from .mp4 to .mov
I’ve done this numerous times and no one has caught on yet 🙂 -
Options – Preferences – Editing and adjust the length in the box as shown below.
This screenshot is from Vegas Pro but it should be very similar to what you have.

Steve, no guarantees but see if the free XDCAM .MOV to .MXF file converter on the Convergent Design site will do the trick.

Were they Waves plugins? Those have caused grief to a few Vegas users.
