You can stretch (or shrink) the audio by placing the cursor at the end of the clip and, while holding the CTRl key down, drag it as desired.
Also, right click on the audio clip and select “Properties” and then “Lock to Stretch” next to “Pitch Change”. -
The AUDIO_TS folder is always empty so you don’t need to worry about it. If in doubt, do your burn with an eraseable disc to check it.

Here you go then. Instructions as per one of Edward’s older posts.
CAUTION! This is a potentially dangerous process that can mess up Vegas. If you mess up, you’ll have to restart Vegas holding down the SHIFT key to reset all settings. So… proceed at your own risk:
Hold the SHIFT KEY and go to Options – Preferences and there will be a new tab marked “Internal.” Search for the word “Dock” in the word field.
Change this to TRUE.Close the preferences screen and your timeline will now be on the bottom of the screen.

Wayne, make sure that you’re using the DVD Architect NTSC video stream to get a video only clip. Selecting anything else will give you either an m2v file or an mpeg file with audio.

I did some checking on the Sony forum and, if you have Vegas 6, try saving your EDL in AAF format. There’s 2 options and I have no idea which one to use.
Also, check out the AAF import actually working? thread, specifically B_JM’s response, as he talks about a newer version of AAF.Please let us know if this works out for you.

Why not do the on line in Vegas?
Your biggest problem will be coming up with an EDL (edit list) that Avid can read.
And if the client wants to do “off-lining in any codec they are given”, they stand a better chance of Vegas actually reading the files anyway. It’s my understanding that Avid is pretty fussy about what it can handle.Mike

Just move the windows as you would any windows window.
Unfortunately that trick won’t work with the timeline. You need to get into the internal prefs to make that change and, since Ralph is a Vegas rookie, I’m going to leave well enough alone – for now anyway.
