I have yet to find anyone who can give me a concrete ruling on this logo issue…

Chris, the following is from a thread titled DVD LOGOS on the Sony forum. The OP asked “just wondering if anyone can point me to a good place to download clean sharp copies of the DVD LOGOs for DVD Video and DVD ROM”.
I think it clears it up pretty well.

Here’s the final answer from the Source. I received the following reply to an e-mail addressed to the DVD FLLC regarding the use of the DVD logo:

Dear Mr. ******,

Thank you for your e-mail of February 18, 2004.
We appreciate your information.

Basically, the DVD Logo may be used by our Licensees on their DVD
products which have passed Verification and they must observe strict
guidelines as to how the Logo is used.

We do not allow any labeling softwares to use the DVD Logo. Using the
DVD Logo without our authorization would cause the infringement of
our trademark rights as well as copyright.

Sounds like a need for the use of bezier masks for the cutout as well as keyframing for the moving object.

Odds are pretty good that the files are created using an MJPEG codec.

Chroma key’s main purpose is to put a person in a scene that that’s been constructed for that purpose. It was never designed to have one person replace another. The only way this could be done is if your movements matched his exactly (which is virtually impossible) or he was painted out of the scene, frame by frame (a lot of work).
A roundabout way of saying that what you’re attempting to do will probably never look as good as you had originally hoped.

You could try installing the Avid Meridien codec and rendering out to it.

The bottom line is that Sony has been asked repeatedly (since Vegas 3 or 4) to fix this issue and we’re still waiting 🙁

Thanks Gary but that doesn’t do it.
I’ll see if I can make myself clearer.
I have 6 separate menu items.
#6 is titled “DVD Extras” and, when clicked, links to a still image that has a list of the contents of this folder. It only stays up for 5 seconds though and then goes back to the main menu. I’d like it to stay up for 15 seconds if at all possible.
