Thanks Chris this totally helps… since i don’t have maya… to get the same effect as the light passing by the particles should i create a ball (lens flair) and then track the movement with an expression to an actual light so that it will light objects as it goes by or do you think it would be alot of trouble to get a simple fx…

there is a ton of stuff to solve the your questions a good place to start is the wobbler its under the window tab…next I would try to tackel the particles that isn’t going to be your hardest part you can use any of the particle makers that come in AE pro (particle world usually) but you want to use trapcode’s particular this will give you great results (you’ll deffo have to get your head around useing is tho, its not hard just alot of tweeking) or you could use some time effects to get some trail fx from your objects … and the hardest thing that is in your project it sounds is the sync’n the 3d cam to your real world cam… you said that you did that by keyframing the motion the best way to do that is by useing an expression this will sync the 2 cameras together pretty perfectly but its not easy to learn everything you can do with expressions… let me know if this helps

and i would love to here if anyone else has a diffrent solution…

CC Mr. Mercury could also be am option as well as simply shooting your paint dripping along a black board then compositing it on top of your text. The last option I can think of would be to animate a couple of masks to simulate a dripping paint.

this is just somthing that i read that a guy named sarge wrote in a post to this web site and it seems like it would work for you som good ideas anyway… let us know if you have any luck..

i’m not really sure that i know what you are trying to do but you might be able to get the effect your looking for by useing some time effects like echo or time streching… let me know if this helps…

i would try the inner/ outer key… i have gotten some great keys with it…i don’t know what that blue cast is your talking about is it spillage that your talking about? if it is try a spill supress tool… but that might be a tough one if its badly lit… and did they film the sublect too close to the BG…

you can use a ton of stuff… it kinda depends on what your shooting& working with… color key is good if its a solid color… or luma key is good if your droping out a black or white color… iner/ outer key if you want to take your time and get a good key…keylight if its blue/green screen… this list keeps going …
