Here’s what I’m trying to do. We are taking the Japanese Flag (field of white with a perfect circle in the middle) and making the red of the dot start to trickle like blood. It isn’t photorealistic, as the colors stay pretty flat, but I have been having trouble making it move as if it were blood flowing from a wound (sounds gross, sorry.)
I have been playing with the liquify plugin, but I’m not getting what I need.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

CC Mr. Mercury could also be am option as well as simply shooting your paint dripping along a black board then compositing it on top of your text. The last option I can think of would be to animate a couple of masks to simulate a dripping paint.

A quick search of the archives found this post from Rick Gerard. I say post, more like a full-on tutorial. 🙂
