It always did – I think. Have just imported a clip and its .mov as is stuff I imported months ago.
Do you mean without the plugin? I did try without the plugin but (this was with 10.1.4) it didn’t see the card file structure so you ended up importing each clip manually as it were. That might have been a C300 though.

I think its a known bug.
I get round it by sticking the name in want in the Scene field and then doing a batch rename set to “Scene” + Counter

January 13, 2015 at 8:50 pm in reply to: FCPX multicam syncing and editing with multiple audio and multiple video tracksFunnily enough I’m involved in a similar sort of project.
My current thinking is to see if I can find a way of taking the audio into something like Protools or Logic Pro X and make a multi-channel WAV file. Then bring that back into FCP X and use that with the muticam.

Presumably same would apply for Canon MXF plugin?

Thanks – found it!
Well I deleted the XDcam Format RADplug and it seems to work. Imports straight away and leaves files in place..
Can anyone comment on if this is a good idea or not.

When researching setting up my other half as a transcriber (so she could earn money whilst doing her PhD) I was told the industry has maybe ten years at most. Computer transcription is so good now its scary.
Just try this: find a press conference on TV, hold your iPhone up to the speaker in Notes or whatever in dictation mode.. Even on an scottish accent it did a very good job!

The current state of play is this:
I removed all the files I could see relating to SXS cards from Library – Filesystem and Library – extensions and then reinstalled as per Sony’s advice of device driver first then the UDF driver.
Currently the card shot on an F55 in XAVC mode reads fine, but when I put a card from an PMW500 with XDCam MPEG50 material, formatted UDF mode it comes up as “This disc is not formatted” – so at least its reading it.
This by the way is using a Sonnet Thunderbolt Express card adaptor.
Any ideas gladly welcome!
