    Jeremy.

Many thanks for your help. I have tried all you suggested but the reimport from camera/archive option remains stubbornly greyed out.

Here are some pics – I hope they make sense. Can’t seem to upload the pics so here’s a dropbox link..

Would love any thoughts you have..

Tried that and it doesn’t work 🙁

So far the only way I can find that works is by relinking them one at a time.

I have even tried putting each days clips in their own events so there is no conflict of dates and filenames.

    Open to any bright ideas.

Thanks. This didn’t seem to work – I’m guessing because I didn’t create the camera archives through FCP X. I imported the cards first then backed them up via shot put pro.

I did have a brain wave which was to import the clips into a new “import” FCP X project, putting the media outside the project folder, and then relink the clips in the original project to the new clips.

It seems to work but can only seem to do it clip by clip, not bulk – which is v annoying.

    Sorted now.

My mistake was not to do a round trip XML out of Resolve. I think I originally did “export XML” out of the sequence. Once I selected “FCP X roundtrip XML” in Resolves deliver menu, FCP X rebuilt the timeline properly, and it was then just a case of making a compound clip and dropping it over the original sequence and the audio.

Thanks people.. Nothing like learning on the job – even if it is a self funded short.

Thanks Jeremy. My mistake was I loaded the CODEC but I was trying to load the files directly from the card. Dragging the MXFs in worked perfectly.

    Cheers.

The Movieslate app in conjuction with Timecode buddy makes a hell of a combo – and its timecode locked, something I don’t think Lumberjack is (but could be wrong about).

April 23, 2015 at 8:05 pm in reply to: Photo mask

    Yep – sorry about that.

Basically say I have 3 headshots. I want them all to be the same size on screen but as we know you often get photos of varying resolutions. So I want way of creating a mask that can be the same size then resize the photo underneath – so the headshots are the same relative size e.g. head only. Any clearer?
