    Hi,

was teaching FCPX 10.1.4 yesterday and when demoing batch rename, creating or editing a preset crashed all 5 iMacs and my mbp too. All systemes are clean Yosemite 10.10.2 installs.

After restarting though the new preset is there and works…

Anybody seen something similar and or knows why and how to fix ?

    Thanks

    Hi there.

I’m sorry I don’t have a solution but I’ve have the EXACT same problem with my Mac Tube. Fresh Yosemite and latest FCPX. So, you aren’t crazy and neither is your computer set up. Very annoying as I have to crash the program repeatedly to get through Batch Rename work.

I hope someone posts a great solution for your class and my edit suite.

    James.

I think its a known bug.

I get round it by sticking the name in want in the Scene field and then doing a batch rename set to “Scene” + Counter
