  • Did you try running the unistaller anyway? I always run all the unistallers, even if I think I never installed the application in the first place.

  • There are actual Avid uninstallers in the Applications folder that you need to use. Dragging to the trash does not do a complete uninstall.

  • What version of the OS are you running?

It can if it was recorded 48.048kHz to start. If not, you need to re-stamp the file to make it think is +/- .1% for it to be triggered.

    The full console command is:

    ignoreqtrate true

ignoreqtrate false will turn it off.

And the QT codec has been available for many years. Unlike the ProRes QT codecs which have been doled out for all platforms, cannot encode on a PC and requires FCP installed on the Mac to encode… quite a difference from the Avid approach. Perhaps one you prefer?

When switching to HD, it is always scaled in real time to fill the frame. If you want to have original resolution, you can import an SD size file in the HD project and select preserve original or something to that affect (not in front of a system right now).

Was this a 24 frame project? FilmScibe as a dedicated change list tool that shows what to remove, what to add, and what has changed. Have you tried that?

  • Decompose or show reference clips should show what is related to the sequence regardless of whether the media is online or not. Are you saying that there are missing subclips/master clips when you do this?

Coming from the film world, I create a pull list in FilmScribe. It can export a TAB version of the file that can be used in Excel or FileMaker Pro.

I like to copy by files to my local drives in the same manner I would archive – for example:

    Top Folder: Dailies_0900307
    Mext Folder: Card_001

Inside this is the folder copied from the SxS card. Using AMA. I link to the top directory (Dailies_090307), the bin name is created from the subfolder. I just edit from those directly.
