You can do this in FCS2. Select the sequences you want in the browser, “File.. > Batch Export”. Specify settings and destination for the batch by hitting the “Settings…” button. Hit “Export”.

You can also bypass the last project open by holding “Shift” as FCP opens. Get you out of that crashing loop.

Interesting. I would tend to think no, but I don’t think it would hurt to try, you might get lucky. One difference is that it has to be called “Final Cut Pro 7.0 Prefs”. The other file names seem to be the same. If it doesn’t work, you could just delete them and you have your answer. Good luck.
