Is there an easy way to blur a small subject moving through different parts of the frame? I’ve started with a duplicate blurred 4 point matte and animating the handles, but seems too laborious.

    Thanks,
    Eric

Google Andy’s Region blur. It’s free, works well.

FCP7 has a circle blur filter that will do this.

    All the best,

Use a Secondary Room in Color, apply blur and track the object. This is easy as long as no objects cross the object being blurred. Then, you’re into roto.
