I couldn’t find a previous post that described your problem so can you explain what the problem is. I’m guessing you have an image sequence (png) that is either going offline or it is displaying that it is offline when it isn’t. Media going offline can be caused by a drive that disconnects then reconnects. Corrupted thumbnails can cause the file to look like it is offline but it still plays and displays correctly.
I am not having the same issue and there might be something about the file or the drive. More info please.

Have you tried to create an audio only AAF from Avid with consolidated audio media and import that into resolve to get the audio in separately.
That way you also get all other audio like music, fx etc that was loade dinto the AVID. I presume you used PCM audio for your proxies so there is no need to reconnect to the original PCM as you will not have suffered any codec loss.

Resolve has vastly improved performance since version 15. Try Resolve 17. Or even 16. I was using a similar speced PC on 16 and it didn’t struggle the way you are describing.

I usually use iZotope but I just tried the Fairlight NR plugin and manual>learn works. I presume you remembered to click off the learn after playing the bit you want it to learn. Working here as it is supposed to.

You can also just export a timeline now with 17 as well as using Project export to backup, move and archive. Database transfer is not the intended way to move projects. I currently setup an annual database and archive it any time I update software or at least once a month. It is an easy way to globally archive.

There will be a few second hand Blackmagic Pocket 4k & 6k cameras with the release of the new Pocket 6k Pro. The basic 6k is amazing and has EF mount. I have a 4k which is MFT plus I have a speed booster EF convertor to use the same lenses as my BM Ursa Mini 12k. If you want camera form factor there are also plenty of Ursa Mini G1 & G2 cameras out there second hand. Brilliant pictures and a on the shoulder form factor with an excellent viewfinder.

I would say the first rule should be to install a decent camera app that lets you set proper frame rates. This is a big problem in post, especially when both mixed rates are common and the wrong frame rate is set by the NLE when dragging in media.
Its far too common an problem and just gets shrugs from producers and ‘film makers’ using phones. Convenience should also follow into post. Instead it’s usually the opposite.

For future reference if audio files have the wrong timecode, there is free software from Sound Devices that allows you to change the frame rate of the embedded timecode.
https://www.sounddevices.com/product/wave-agent-software/Audio is simple in that it should always be recorded at a fixed sample rate of 48khz so it is real time at that sample rate. Having the correct timecode to match the sequence will help when it has been set incorrectly to the camera rate and prevent the NLE software doing a sample rate conversion and making the file drift from real time.
Wave Agent is also handy if you want to split polywav files into separate mono files.

Jeremy at the moment they are giving away the Studio license with the little edit panel. So you basically get the edit panel for nothing if you want to buy the license. The license can be an activation or a usb dongle and it automatically works with all version of Resolve. I am still using my original dongle bought when I was using version 8 and it will work with 17 when I upgrade soon. I wouldn’t get it via the app store. Better to have it direct. I could have sold you a spare which came with my latest Ursa Mini camera but I just sold it yesterday for half price
