    Mark,
Thanks loads I don’t know if I would have ever come up with that answer.
The closest I came to it was making the blend an add function and this realy only worked for white text not images.
What were the knuckleheads at Apple Motion team smoking????

    the202,
    What were your settings exactly.
Also did you have motion blur on?
I noticed the one you renderd out was a .png, also there does seem to be a gama shift as someone else pointed out.
You said you have Motion if so I would just work in that if you are still having problems.
    best of luck

I’ve done slide shows in the past and have not had the problems you seem to be experiencing.
Why don’t you popst a sample of your project and a sample of your exported movie, along with your settings.
    are the stills large enough?
    Have you tried Motion?

  • Huh?
I do Film titles 1920X1080 and the only time I make files larger is if I need to pan them.

  • Not exactly on the front page, or even in the “Installing your software” pamphlet.

I guess Apple is thinking like

    ‘Whizzo Chocolate Company”
“If we put that on the box our sales would plummet”

  • Richard,

The post was a warning as well as a gripe.

I’m not asking for backward compatibility, I’d just like to test files and have both programs incase one of my clients doesn’t feel like upgrading.
And by the way FCP 3 to FCP4 upgrade didn’t blow away the older program just as I still have AE 5 and 6 as well as 6.5 just in case I need to work with older files and don’t want to “upgrade” the project!
Oh yea a warning or OPTION to keep the old program would have been nice, They do that with the operating system!
