    Hey all,
I posted this at Apple discussions
Does anyone else have the same problems?
When I use drop shadows and fade in and out?
The shadow comes through the fading element mostly evident in Light colored elements.
AE does the drop right .
    Any suggestions?
    The files are here

    thanks

    Go here:
    https://secure.vtc.com/cd/motion.htm
and click on the two movies:
    -Problem with Changing Opacity
    -Solution for Changing Opacity
Basically, you can keyframe the Levels filter instead of using the opacity parameter.

    Mark,
Thanks loads I don’t know if I would have ever come up with that answer.
The closest I came to it was making the blend an add function and this realy only worked for white text not images.
What were the knuckleheads at Apple Motion team smoking????
