I want to meet the mastermind behind Bears Production. It reminds me of the After Last Season Trailer, only I actually feel bad for this/these guy/s.

Especially the logo, I mean, they were able to animate it decently, showing a little bit of competence, yet they use the spinning carousel pre-made thingy and the logo is the weirdest/creepiest thing I have ever seen… I dont even know…

You are going to want to start over. There are a few ways to extract a foreground, but I like using the pen tool to create a path, turn it to a selection, then go to selection-refine edge. Mess around with that.

NM, the tweaks just are not noticeable until one puts a backdrop in… I feel silly.

Hmmm I have always wondered that myself… I guess there are a few considerations-

-It is wear/tear on your system
    -Power consumption
    -Memory usage
-Time that your computer is busy and you can not work on it.

Super easy. Just make a new track like you would when putting an image behind the actor, but instead of dropping an image on the timeline, drop the movie clip.

It could help to use TIFFS with alpha channels rather than jpgs.

Not sure how much, but less stress.

Lucky for me, a neighboring highschool had a decent “Video Production” class that I took for two periods a day all year. Beyond that, I was involved with our DECA chapter, making a few promo vids for their contests. Not involved in AV club though, Those kids were weird 😉

I have never found a particularly easy way to do this, but setting guides can help a lot. You can Go to view – new guide, and use either percent values, pixels, or any other measurement value.

  • Nathan – You are going about doing it wrong…

Open up your photoshop document that you want to put into indesign. Save it as a tiff with layers, highest quality possible. Note the location of the file and then go in indesign, hit command D (place) and drag out a field for it to rest. That preserves any transparency, and then if you want to edit the original photoshop document, right click on it from indesign, hit “Edit original” and it will pop right up in photoshop. Then save, and it updates indesign automatically.

    Hope this helps

    Good Day
