I think Steve put you in the right direction so I’d try his suggestions.
I just wanted to chime in and let you know the tutorial and project are Red 4 which is why it will not load with your Red 3.

Ben put you in the right direction.
The plug-ins can install into 1 of 2 directories on the Mac. They are most likely in the Media Core folder but here are both. Locate the BCC 5 folder and simply remove it:
Mac HD>Library>Application Support>Adobe>Common>Plug-ins>
>MediaCore or
Mac HD>Applications>Adobe After Effects CS(3/4)>Plug-Ins

When does the error come up?
I would start by trashing the media database files.
These are the msmFMID.pmr and msmMMOB.mdb files in each media file folder.

Off the top of my head without looking at it.
resizing with Pan and Zoom or 3D warp might produce a better result

Work support for a company in the industry, whether it be Avid, a reseller or a post house are all viable options. The problem is getting your foot in the door.
ACSR status helps a bunch, it’s expensive but it’s your “higher education” if it’s what you really want to do. I guess the key is getting your foot in somewhere and proving to them you are worth paying for the certification.

Is it the font of the actual height of the track?
If the height of the track is just too small activate the problem ones and use Ctrl+L to make them larger or Ctrl+K to make them smaller.
