Media Tool doesnt work anymore – Error message included
Hi everybody,
we are running MC 4.0.5 on MAC 10.5.5
and the problem is, that the Media tool doesnt work anymore.
After scanning the drive, it comes up with this message :CM_OFFSET_OUT_OF_RANGE. offset: 90000, range: 232
This is pretty cryptic for me,
I looked in the forums on the AVID site, but couldnt find anything.Thanks for your time

When does the error come up?
I would start by trashing the media database files.
These are the msmFMID.pmr and msmMMOB.mdb files in each media file folder.

I trashed the databases already,
also moved clips (MXF) into new folders,
so each one only holds around 2.500 clips.
Now I will try out the tips from the link you gave me.
Maybe it´s my old user setting.
