HI,
Are you working in SD and dealing with anamorphic (non square) media. If so, check the properties of the sequence clips on the layers below the text.
Is the anamorphic flag OFF. If so turn it on and try the export.
Please let me know if this solves your problem. We get the same occurring occasionally when working in PAL SD 16:9 and we are trying to replicate it for Apple.

Hi,
I can assure you that you are not alone. We have had the same problem since moving to FCP 6.0 but only when dealing with PAL 16:9 anamorphic.
Are you dealing with 16:9 SD PAl ? If so, are ALL the clips below the Title 3D (including any clips in nests) set to anamorphic if they are 16:9, Check the properties of each clip in the sequence.
In our case we find that the anamorphic flag disappears at times and then the Title 3D above these clips scales vertically during transitions.

Are you passing this on to a sound designer on TAPE or do you need to export a file. You don’t say.
If you are laying off to tape and you have a AJA card you can burn in your sequence timecode in real time as you edit to tape. Version dependent.

Hi Rich,
We, like yourselves, always expect the media links to be broken when the relative path between project and media is different but we are not experiencing the same re-connect problem as you on 6.0 or 6.0.1
If we have a selection of clips in the bin and the media files are all in the same folder on disk then we only have to point to the folder that the files are in and they all connect.

…and you can make him appear by doing the following.
press OPTION + 9 to open videoscopes
press CTRL and mouse click a number of times
Hopefully Bruce should appear

Just in case you are not aware the manuals are available for download from apples website.

Hi,
Please let me know if the following info helps or if I have misunderstood you.
PNG imports on our INTEL boxes are interpreted correctly – that is, the alpha channel is seeen.
If we want to change the ALPHA type of all images in the bin at one time we select all images and right click on the value in the ALPHA column to select a new value. This is quite common I am sure.
If we want to change the ALPHA type of all images in the sequence at once we ensure we are displaying the ALPHA TYPE buttons in the sequence button bar or have assigned some keyboard shortcuts for ALPHA TYPEs. To change the ALPHA TYPE values we select all clips we want to modify and choose the new ALPHA TYPE using buttons or keyboard shortcuts.
Maybe there is another way.

Damn,
Just re-read our post and realise that you already know this.

Hi,
Hos many clips do you have and how much time do you want to spend.
We have done the following in the past without any problems.
Open you clip in quicktime and press CMD + J to get the properties window. Turn the check marks on and off to disable the audio tracks you do not want.
Play the quicktime file to verify you have unchecked the correct tracks. Select the unchecked tracks and delete them.
When you import them in to your FCP project your audio track indication should be different.
You do not reclaim any disk space with this technique even though you can not get the audio tracks back after deletion.
Does this help you?
