Just noticed that the same strobe filter is available in fcp as well.

Your example didn’t work.
if you have After Effects there is a posterize time filter. Dropping the framerate down to 12 or even lower might achieve the look you are trying to get. Alternately motion has a strobe filter that you may be able to achieve a similar look with.

I’m pretty sure the Code I use is from my FCP 4 because that’s the last full license I have.

Did you by any chance purchase FCP 5 as an upgrade as well? If my memory serves correctly It’s looking for a Full license serial number…so you need to find your last full license number…not an upgrade number.

I already do this. I use to do this on a second partition of my main HD..now I do it on a different drive.

Noted..and will do. I just personally try not to upgrade/update in the middle of a project. I have the backup there…but still would like to not be in a situation of having to use it.

Move it.
Either by dragging it in the canvas window (if it’s in image+wireframe mode)…or via the center point values in the motion tab

I never update anything once I have a system up and running. If it ain’t broke…don’t fix it.

anytime you reinstall your final cut software..you should check to make sure all the things in your regular workflow are working properly (ie input output). That way you can fix the problems before murphy’s law gets you.

from the timeline load the audio you want to subframe edit into the viewer. then zoom in. if you move the playhead it moves by frames…but if you hold shift while you move the playhead it moves withoug locking to frames. once you get the playhead where you need it set your inpoint.
