Try keyframing the tolerance on either the glow filter or the bloom filter. Both are in the effects category of glow. It might give you what you are looking for.

[Shane Ross] “No one knows. Those who know, cannot tell.”

Isn’t this one of shane’s stock answers?

If it’s not a terribly long clip just go to the head of the clip hit “X” to mark the clip then “F” to match frame and then “F11” to do a replace edit. Now you’ll have the same clip without the markers. See if you can add/edit/delete markers on the clip now.
if the clip is super long and you have other markers on it that you want to keep…just use the blade tool to cut the clip after the markers you want to keep and then do the same process i meantioned above on the cut you created.

I’m in FCP7…so I can’t say for sure…but I just put 150 markers on a clip as a test. Is it simply not allowing you anymore markers on that clip? or no more markers on any clip?

[Jeremy Garchow] “FCP will not read the PS effects, you have to flatten those first.”

Or you can convert your layers that have layers styles into smart objects in photoshop. In PS right click on the layer and select “convert to smart object”. This way you can import your PS into FCP but it still leaves the Layer editable.

[Dave LaRonde] “‘m all tingly now that I know FCP’s right up there with iLife”

I felt the same way knowing he spent as much time talking about FCP as he did talking about iWork.

    I always journal.”

I was still under the impression that media drives should not be journaled.

Fat32 has a 2GB file limitation. That could be your problem. Your drive needs to be formatted Mac os extended (not journaled)

    haha adding insult to injury.

I haven’t worked on a project with 200 sources in years…but now that I think about it It’s always the most unorganized clients that have that many source tapes. why is that.

If you haven’t shot it yet. I’d say shoot the BG plate…then Shoot the actor over Green Screen (if possible). That way you can key out your footage rather than rotoscoping it.
